Upon review and in accordance with your submitted notice, the City of Woodbury provides the following comments: Currently the City of Woodbury is proceeding with a residential development (Autumn Ridge) directly north of the border between the City of Cottage Grove and City of Woodbury near Glen Road and Radio Drive. As part of the development, up to 21 private water supply wells will be installed. This area appears to be in the City of Cottage Grove's and the City of Newport's existing wellhead protection area. With the goal of having the private water supply wells properly designed, the City of Woodbury is interested in potential draw down impacts in this area as a result of the City of Cottage Grove's current pumping activities and requests current and future modeled draw down data be provided to the City of Woodbury. It is requested the City of Cottage Grove provide its plans for its future production wells, specifically wells that may impact groundwater elevation in the City of Woodbury and result in the extension of tht; City of Cottage Grove's wellhead protection area into the City of Woodbury. The City of Woodbury is in the early stages of opening its south well field. Multiple production wells are being considered generally south of Bailey Road, east of Woodlane Drive, North of Military and Dale Road, and West of Woodbury Drive. These wells, over time, may have measurable impacts on the local water table elevation. In conjunction with City of Cottage Grove well fields, the City of Woodbury has identified the combined potential draw down of production wells as a potential issue for Up3 \publicworks$\PROJECT\175 Admin - Water \118 Wellhead Protection Plan\Response to CO Lou WHP Notice.docx Response to LGU Notice for WHPP February 21, 2012 Page 2 existing and any future private supply wells in the area.
