May 24, 2000 CALL TO ORDER The City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, Washington County, Minnesota held a workshop meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 200Q at the Cottage Grove City Hali, 7516 80`h Street South. Mayor Pro Tem Kohls called the meeting to order et 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Pro Tem Cheryl Kohis Councii Member Pat Rice Councii Member Jim Wolcott Absent: Mayor John Denzer Council Member Sandy Shiely Also Present: Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator Michelie Wolfe, Assistant City Administrator Mayor Pro Tem Kohis presided over the meeting. WORKSHOP SESSION Site Location Decisions Council heard a presentation from Mark Beattie representing 3M's Real Estate Division. The presentation provided an example of how a large corporation proceeds with making site location decisions for expansions and relocation. A copy of the power point presentations is attached to and made a part of the originai minutes. Marketing Plan Councif heard a presentation from Management Analyst Steve Barrett on the Marketing and Communications Plan drafted by the Marketing Committee. The Plan included a proposed 18- month implementation schedule.
