The Youth Activities Expo will be held February 28, 2008 at River Oaks Golf Course from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Officer Gail Griffith and Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Diane McCabe will be staffing a booth that represents different areas that the Public Safety Department is invoived in with the youth of our community. The donated money will be used to purchase items to be handed out to the youth such as crime prevention supplies. The Cottage Grove Police Department is requesting Council's approval in the acceptance of the $200.00 donation. I�ifTi1:� /pjk 1: 11: RESOLUTION NO. 08 - RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION OF MONEY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLfC SAFETY POLICE DIVISION FOR THE PURCNASE OF CRIME PREVENTION ITEMS FOR THE YOUTH EXPO WHEREAS, in support of the Cottage Grove Department of Public Safety, The Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board wishes to donate money in the amount of $200.00 to the Department of Public Safety, Police Division, and WHEREAS, the Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board has been in support of the Police Division and crime prevention activities in the community, and WHEREAS, the Cottage Grove Police Department along with the Neighborhood Watch Program will be staffing a booth at the Youth Activities Expo that represents different areas that the Public Safety Department is involved in with the youth of our community and WHEREAS, the City of Cottage Grove, on behalf of the Department of Public Safety, accepts the donated money and recommends that it be used for the purchase of items to be handed out to the youth at the Youth Activities Expo which will be held February 28, 2008 at River Oaks Golf Course. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, that said Council hereby accept, on behalf of the Department of Public Safety Police Division, the total donation in the amount of $200.00.
