COUNCII. ACTION REQUEST:
1. Consider accepting the resignation of Jim Wolcott from the Economic Development
Authority and thank him for his years of service. 2. Consider approving the appointment of
Richard Remackel to the Economic Development Authority to fill the vacant position, which
expires 12/31/2008 and is subject to reappointment.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
1. Accept the resignation and thank Mr. Wolcott for his years of service. 2. Approve the
appointment of Mr. Remackel to the Economic Development Authority.

EDA Appointment
Former City Councii Member Jim Wolcott has served on the Economic Development Authority
since 1997 and has announced his intention to resign from the EDA. On February 26, 2008
EDA President Fred Luden and Vice President Sandy Shiely interviewed four City of Cottage
Grove residents who had applied for appointments to City Advisory Commissions and had
expressed their interest in serving on the EDA. After conducting the interviews, EDA President
Luden and Vice President Shiely decided to offer the vacant position to Richard Remackel.
Recommendation
1. Accept the resignation of Jim Wolcott from the Economic Development Authority and thank
him for his years of service. 2. Approve the appointment of Richard Remackel to the Economic
Development Authority to fill the vacant position, which expires December 31, 2008 and is
subject to reappointment.
