Abate assessment for 8414 66� Street South. (04-027-21-31-0012)
An assessment for 8414 66 Street South was certified to th� 2008 property taxes. This
assessment was paid to the City in 2QQ7.
Discussion
On September 5, 2007 the Council aciopted the assessment roil for 8414 66 Street far th�
removal of hazardous conditions d�e to a fire in the amount of $13,036.45. The Gity
received an escrow payment From the insurance company in 2007 to pay for this
assessment. However, this same assessment was certified #o fihe County and should t�e
abated since it was paid in full to the Gity.
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends adopting the resolutinn abating the assessment.
Ackion Requested:
The City Council is asked to adopt the attached resolution abating the assessment.

I�ESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ABATEMENT OF SPECfAL ASSESSMEN7S ON
PARCEL 04.027.21.31.0012 i�OCATED AT 8414 66 STREET SOUTW
WHEREAS, the City Cnuncil adopted assessments for the hazardous properties
which included parcel 04.27.21.31.(7012 located at 8414 66` Street South.
WHEREAS, the assessment for this parcel was paid in full on September 6,
2007, but the assessment was not d�leted from Washington County Property Tax
recards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Counr.il af the City of Cottage
Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, abates the 2008 principal and
interest payable on this assessment in the amount of $14,169,01. Of this amount,
$13,0�6.45 is for principal and $1,132.56 is for interest.
