RECOGNITION OF SERVICE — RESERVE OFFICER BRIAN HAGEN
Brian Hagen began volunteering for the Cottage Grove Police Department in December
of 1995. This was in the capacity of a Reserve Police Officer. Mr. Hagen rose through
the ranks of the Reserve Officer program and eventually became a licensed part-time
Police Officer with the City of Cottage Grove. After the part-time Police Officer program
was discontinued in Cottage Grove, Brian returned as a Captain in the Reserve Officer
program. Brian remained active in this position until his recent resignation.
While in the Reserve Officer program, Brian could always be counted on to organize
(from the police perspective) the many parades that made their way through our City
streets. Mr. Hagen was also very active in the local snowmobile patrol during this time.
Even though Brian Hagen is leaving our Reserve Officer program, he remains active in
the law enforcement community. This is through his position as a part-time Police
Officer with the MN State Fair Police Department.
Brian is also still committed to serving the citizens of Cottage Grove. He remains an
active member of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Commission.
On behalf of the City of Cottage Grove, the Cottage Grove Police Department and the
citizens of this community, we sincerely thank him for his years of dedicated service.
