To: Honorable Mayor and City Council
From: Joe Fischbach, Management Analyst
Date: March 14, 2008
Subject: Human Rights/Human Services Commission Appointment
On March 12 Rajean Moone, Chair of the Human Rights/Human Services Commission, and
interviewed Lindsay Florin for the open youth seat on the Human Rights/Human Services
Commission. Councilmember, and Liaison to the Human Rights/Human Services Commission,
Grossklaus was scheduled to also sit in on the interview but a Council workshop was
scheduled at the same time. Instead of cancelling the interview Councilmember Grossklaus
delegated the authority to interview Lindsay to Rajean and i this one time. Lindsay is a very
poised young adult and we feel she would be an excellent addition to the Commission. We are
recommending that the full City Council approve her appointment to the Commission. If
approved, Lindsay's appointment would be effective April 1, 2008 and run through March 31,
2009.
Council Action: Approve or deny the appointment.
