B. Consider adopting a resolution establishing Election Precinct Polling Places for
the City of Cottage Grove.
Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution. This resolution changes the polling place for
Precinct 12 from Christ the Lord Lutheran Church to fhe Washington County Service Center.
C. Consider ratifying the EDA action of allocating Gateway TIF funds toward
completion of the Belden Crossing Quiet Zone.
Staff Recommendation: RaG"fy fhe EDA action.
D. Consider authorizing issuance of the following permits to the Church of St. Rita
for their annual events: 1. Temporary liquor license for the Pig Roast on August
9, 2008. 2. Temporary liquor license for the Fall Festival on September 20 & 21,
2008. 3. Single-occasion gambling permit for the Fall Festival on September 20
& 21, 2008.
Staff Recommendation: Authorize issuance of the permits. During the required background
investigation, no facts were found that would constiYute a basis for denial of the application.
E. Consider accepting the resignation of Christie Thompson from the Human
Services/Human Rights Commission and declare a vacancy.
Staff Recommendation: Accept the resignation and dectare a vacancy.
F. Consider accepting the resignation of Robert Davy from the Parks, Recreation
and Natural Resources Commission and declare a vacancy.
Staff Recommendation: Accept the resignation and declare a vacancy.
G. Consider adopting a resolution accepting a donation from 3M for the Strawberry
Festival.
Staff Recommendafion: Adopt fhe resolution.
H. Consider authorizing issuance of a single-occasion gambling permit to the
South Washington Senior Center to conduct a raffle at the District Program
Center, 8400 East Point Douglas Road, on October 17, 2008.
Staff Recommendation: Authorize issuance of the single-occasion gambling permit. During the
required background investigation, no facts were found that would constitute a basis for denial
of the application.
I. Consider renewal of the (1) package policy with a$50,000/$100,000/$1,000
deductible, the volunteer accident plan, and the open meeting defense
coverage; (2) Workers Compensation coverage with a$10,000 per occurrence
medical deductible; and (3) do not waive the monetary Iimits on tort Iiability.
Staff Recommendation: Renew the package policy, volunteer accident plan, open meefing
defense and workers compensation coverage and do not waive fhe statutory tort liabitity limits.
J. Consider authorizing the purchase of a Cellebrite UFED System, Paraben
Image Capturing System, a Garrett Investigator G-500 Metal Detector and
Earth Products GPS Unit for a total of $5,884.40. This purchase would be
reimbursed through the Washington County Task Force Forfeiture fund.
Staff Recommendation: Authorize the purchase of a Cellebrite UFED System, Paraben Image

K. Consider authorizing the grant funding request from the State of Minnesota
Department of Public Safety, Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division to
conduct alcohoi compliance checks in Cottage Grove.

L. Consider approving an interim conditional use permit to allow temporary
outdoor sales of fireworks from June 22, 2008 to Juiy 5, 2008 from a tent in the
parking lot at Cub Foods.
Staff Recommendation: Adopt fhe resolution approving the interim condifiona� use permit.

outdoor sales of fireworks from June 20, 2008 to July 6, 2008 from a tent in the
parking lot at Menards.
Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution approving the interim conditional use permit.
