Consider calling a hearing for August 13, 2008 on the proposed assessment for the removal of hazardous conditions at 8334 – 77th Street Court South. Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolutron. D. Consider authorizing issuance of an outdoor event permit for the 2008 Relay For Life ev�nt a: Cottage Grove Junior High on July ^ 1- 12, 2008. Staff Recommendation: Authorize issuance of the outdoor event permit contingent on conditions established by the Public Safety Department and the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Commission. E. Consider authorizing issuance of an outdoor event permit to Werner Electric for their grand opening event on August 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Staff Recommendation: Authorize issuance of the outdoor event permit contingent on conditions approved by the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Commission. F. Consider approval of Change Order #1 for the Weil No. 10 Maintenance Project. Staff Recommendation: Approve the change order for cleaning sand from the bottom of the well. G. Consider approving plans and specifications and establishing an August 7, 2008 bid date for the 2008A Street Improvement Project. Review the proposed contract extension with Biff's, Inc. to provide portabie restroom services to the City of Cottage Grove through 12/31/2010. Consider adopting a resofution accepting a donation from 3M for the Strawberry FestivaL Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution accepting the donation. J. Consider adopting a resolution amending the Personnel Policy by adding a new Politicai Activity poficy. Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution. K. Consider adopting a resolution amending the Personnel Policy by adding the amended Code of Ethics for Public Officiais and Public Employees policy. Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution. l.. Consider approving the Joint Powers Agreement for the 2008 Republican National Convention between the City of Cottage Grove and the City of St. Paul. Statf Recommendation: Approve fhe proposed agreement between the City of Cottage Grove and the C+ty of St. Paul. M. Consider approval of Change Order #1 for the 2008 Pavement Management Project. Staff Recommendation: Approve the change order for installation of fence screening at the bone-yard, sanitary sewer repair, hydrant relocation, evaluating existing water main valves, removing the damaged 30" flared end section, exfending 30" storm sewer, and additional 15" corrugated metal pipe and flared ends. N. Consider authorizing staff to acquire a part of Parcei 25-027-21-43-0001 for $5,300 to realign the intersection of Lehigh and Manning Avenues. Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution authorizing acquisifion of that part oi Parcel 25-027-29-43- 0001 for $5,300 to realign the intersection of Lehigh and Manning Avenues. �O. Consider adopting a resolution accepting a donation from Cogentrix/LSP-Cottage Grove, Inc. for the Economic Development Trust Fund. Consider selecting an elector from the City of Cottage Grove to vote on candidates for the Grant Evaluation and Ranking System (GEARS) committee. Staff Recommendation: Based on discussion. �. Consider directing staff tc prepare an ordinance amending our Outdoor Event Permit Process. Staff Recommendation: Direct staff to prepare the ordinance. C. Consider authorizing the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into a settlement agreement with U.S. Home Corporation.
