One set of quotes (from three electrical contractors) was for the installation of a variable frequency drive at Well 10. The other set of quotes (from three mechanical contractors) was for the installation of a check valve at Well 10. Below is a tabulation of the quotes. Copies of this letter will also be distributed to each Bidder. Variable Frequency Drive Quotes: There were a total of three Quotes. The following summarizes the results of the Quotes received: contractor Quote Amount Low Detail Electric $19,395.00 #2 Electrical Installation and Maintenance $19,635.00 #3 Total Construction & Equipment, Inc. $21,710.00 The low Bidder on the Project was Detail Electric with a Bid of $19,395.00. This compares to the Project's Engineer's Estimate of $20,000.00. These Quotes have been reviewed and found to be in order. If the City Council wishes to award the Project to the low Bidder, then Detail Electric should be awarded the Project on the Amount of $19,395.00. Check Valve Quotes: There were a total of three Quotes. The following summarizes the results of the Quotas received: contractor Quote Amounf Low Total Mechanical Services, Inc. $6,827.00 #2 North Star Pump Service $8,824.36 #3 Shank Constructors $10,700.00 The low Bidder on the Project was Total Mechanical Services, Inc. with a Bid of $6,827.00.
