Future Issues /Topics for the PW Commission i • (M eForms City Home » City Gov't >^ Boards & Commissions x, Public Public Works Works Commission Commission Meetings Public Works Commission are held at the Public Works Facility on the second Monday of each Purpose month at 7:00 p.m. 1. It shall be the purpose of the Public Works Commission to advise the City Council of recommended repairs, replacements and additions necessary to properly maintain the City's infrastructure and public utility system. 2. As the City expands, the commission shall study and review technical advancements in all phases of the industry before making recommendations to the City Council on replacement of outdated facilities and equipment. 3. The commission shall monitor signage and striping of all City streets. Recommendations for updating and /or replacing signs and striping will be made to the City Council based on signage /striping requirements. 4. The commission will work with the Engineering Department on all current and future projects within the City. Job sites shall be monitored until such time as completion of the project has occurred. 5. The commission will interact with residents and may be required to act upon a variety of situations which may be created from time to time. 6. The commission shall receive as well as various recommendations and share opinions with other commissions within the City.
