The City of Cottage Grove is sponsoring a Community Tree Planting at Highlands Park, 6975
Idsen Avenue South. The City of Cottage Grove has specifically invited the Highlands Park
neighborhood residents and churches to volunteer to plant 320 trees. The Highlands Park had
a significant makeover in 2004, and as part of the 2008 Pavement Management Project, some
new trails were constructed, along with the east parking lot. So now, we are beginning to plant
some additional trees in the park. For more information on the planting project or to RSVP to
participate, volunteers should contact Brian Voelker at 651.458.2847 or Public Works reception
at 651.458.2808. The event is from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be served to volunteers
after the planting.
