Meeting Minutes from
Consider adopting a resolution accepting a donation of $750.00 for the 4th of
July Fireworks from 3M Company.
Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution accepting the donation.
Consider authorizing entrance into an agreement between the City of Cottage
Grove, Denmark Township, City of Woodbury, South Washington Watershed
District, Valley Branch Watershed District, and Washington County, and
consider adopting two resolutions supporting watershed district boundary
changes and transfer of territory.
Staff Recommendation: Authorize entrance into the agreement and adopt the resolutions.

D. Consider renewal of the package policy with a$50,000/$100,000/$1,000
deductible and volunteer accident coverage through the LMCIT as outiined in
the Insurance Proposal from Welis-Fargo Insurance Services.
Staff Recommendation: Renew the package policy and volunteer accident plan coverage for the
2040-2011 policy period.
E. Consider awarding the architectural services to RVK Architects for the locker
room and observation deck for $7,240.00, to proceed with the design of the
locker rooms and observation deck and obtain quotes necessary to facilitate
constructing the project.
Staff Recommendafion: Award the architecfural services to RVK Architects.
F. Consider awarding the contract for the Well No. 7 Rehabilitation — Electrical
Work to Peoples Electric in the amount of $42,900.00.
Staff Recommendafion: Adopt the resolution awarding the contract.
G. Consider approving the plans and specifications and establish a June 10, 2010
bid date for the 2010 Pavement Management Project.
Staff Recommendafion: Approve the plans and specificafions and establrsh the bid dafe.
H. Consider approving the plans and specifications and establish a June 10, 2010
bid date for the 2010 Final Street Construction Project.
Staff Recommendation: Adopf the resolution approving the pians and specifrcations and
estabtishing a June 10, 2010 bid date for the 2010 Frnai Sfreet Construction Project.
I. Consider not waiving tort liability limits.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council not waive the statutory tort
limits where an individual claimant would not be able to recover more than $500, 000 on any
claim to which the statutory tort limits apply. The total which all claimants would be able to
recover for a single occurrence to which the statutory tort limits apply would be limited to $1.5
million.
J. Consider proclaiming May 16 — 22, 2010 as National Public Works Week.
Staff Recommendation: Proclaim May 16 — 22, 2010 as National Public Works Week.
K. Consider awarding the 2010 micro-surFacing bituminous trails contract to
Fahrner Asphalt Inc. in the amount of $42,500.00 for Trail-HSL, and to
Minnesota Asphalt Maintenance at $18,192.10 for Trail-Mat.
Staff Recommendatio�: Award the contract to FahrnerAsphalt lnc. and Minnesota Asphatt
Maintenance.
L. Consider appointing Doug Amos to the Human Services/Human Rights
Commission.
Staff Recommendatron; Approve the appointment.
M. Consider approving specifications for towing and impounding of passenger
cars, trucks, cycles, and snowmobiles within the City of Cottage Grove and set
a bid date of Thursday, June 2, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Cottage Grove City Hall,
7516 80th Street South, Cottage Grove.
Staff Recommendation. Approve the towing contract specifications and set the bid date.
N. Receive update on Community Center Task Force.
Staff Recommendation: Receive update.
�O. Consider proclaiming May 16 — 22 as National EMS Week.
Staff Recommendation: Proclaim National EMS Week.
*P. Consider proclaiming Arbor Day in the City of Cottage Grove.
Staff Recommendation, Proclarm Arbor Day.
**Q. Consider adopting a resolution ordering the abatement of unsafe and
unsanitary conditions at 8069 71 st Street Court South.
Staff Recommendation: Adopt the resolution.
