RESOLUTION NO. 2010-
RESOLUTION AWARDING QUOTE FOR WELL NO. 7 REHABILITATION -
ELECTRICAL WORK TO PEOPLES ELECTRIC IN THE AMOUNT OF
$42,900.00
WHEREAS, Plans and specifications were completed according to
city standards, and
WHEREAS, quotes were requested to provide the necessary work;
and
WHEREAS, four firms submitted quotes; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Peoples Electric is the lowest responsible
quoter; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that the
contract be awarded to Peoples Electric
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, that the quote for
the Well No. 7 Rehabilitation- Electrical Work to be awarded to Peoples Electric
in the amount of $42,900.00.

A set of quotes were received for the above referenced Project on Tuesday April 27, 2010. Five
contractors were invited to quote, and four quotes were received; one contractor declined to quote.
Attached is a tabulation of the quotes. Copies of this letter will also be distributed to each Contractor.
Well No. 7 Rehabilitation — Electrical Work
The following summarizes the results of the Quotes received.
These quotes have been reviewed and found to be in order. The apparent low bidder on the Project was
Peoples Electric with a base bid of $ 42.900.00 . This compares to the Project Engineer's base bid
Estimate of $53,026.00
We are recommending you award Alternate Item No. 1 as it is associated with Alternate No. I of the Well
work contract. If the City Council wishes to award the Project to the apparent low quote with Alternate
No. 1 then Peoples Electric should be awarded the Project for the Amount of $44,860.00
