COUNCIL ACTION TAKEN: FM ❑ DENIED ❑ OTHER '�s ::4:N/e'\ � C>89 * . , WHEREAS, based upon the selected future site for the public safety /city hall, the next step in the development process is the preparation of a feasibility report; and WHEREAS, it is recommended at this time to determine the physical and economical feasibility of providing the necessary public improvements. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, that a feasibility report for the Ravine Parkway Phase 2 be authorized. Levitt, P.E., City Engineer Date: June 30, 2010 Re: Ravine Parkway (85 Street to existing Ravine Parkway end point) Phase 2 Authorization of Feasibility Report Background The City Council on June 16, 2010 selected the future public safety /city hall site to be on the Ravine Parkway on the east side of CSAH 19, between 85 Street and 90 Street. In order to facilitate the building project the Ravine Parkway needs to be extended to 85 Street and 85 Street from CSAH 19 would need to be extended to the future Ravine Parkway. In addition to the necessary street network to serve the future building the necessary public utilities will be extended to the building site. Discussion Feasibility Report: The next step in the project development process is the preparation of a feasibility report. It is recommended that the feasibility report be ordered at this time to determine the physical and economical feasibility of providing the necessary public improvements. Recommendation It is recommended the Council adopt a resolution authorizing the preparation of a feasibility report for the Ravine Parkway Phase 2.
