Burshten, Director of Public Works Date; July 16, 2010 Subject: Response to Open Forum Issue from Mr. Dennis Plan, 8027 77 Street, Regarding the 2008 Pavement Management Project At the City Council meeting on July 7, 2010, Mr. Dennis Plan addressed the City Council with a variety of concerns within or near the 2008 Pavement Management Project Area. Mr. Plan indicated there were manholes in the pavement that may be below the City Standards, broken splash plates on storm sewer castings and gate valves that may be high. He also stated the boardwalk at Ideal Park is in need of repair. On Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 1 accompanied Council Members Mark Grossklaus and Justin Olsen, Chad Setterholm of SEH and Mr. Plan on a tour of the area to address concerns regarding some of the above- mentioned issues. Will be re- evaluated prior to the snow season Ideal Park Board The boardwalk is in need of repair The Parks Commission and Public Walk Works has recommended that the structure be replaced in 2011 and is currently being considered in the 2011 Budget Discussion 8029 71 Street Manhole casting in street is approximately Manhole casting will be raised when (bubble) 1 '/" below street grade others in the area are done Please note that all areas or structures that need to be replaced or repaired have been written up on work orders and will be completed some time within the 2010 construction season.
