Levitt, P.E., City Engineer Date: December 9, 2010 Re: Bonestroo and S.E.H.— 2011 Rate Schedule Background: The City currently has municipal engineering contracts with Bonestroo and Short Elliott Hendrickson (S.E.H.), Inc. The professional services agreement contains the billing rate schedule in Appendix E, which is appended annually. The firms are proposing a zero percent increase for engineering services for 2011. The firms acknowledge the challenging economic times and financial constraints that cities are facing. This is the third year in a row with no increase in rates. Discussion: After review of each firm, Bonestroo and S.E.H., the performance and services during 2010 have been found to be acceptable and they are performing very well for the City of Cottage Grove. Recommendation: Staff recommends approval of the Bonestroo and S.E.H. 2011 Rate Schedule for municipal services. This is the third straight year we have held these rates to a zero percent increase.
