There were 5,364 foreclosures in Minnesota In Q1 of 2011, down 21% from Q1 2010. While still at historic highs, the number of statewide foreclosures remained steady, up a mere one percent from the previous quarter, following a sharp spike in Q3 of 2010. The year- over -year decline, while significant throughout the state, was somewhat more pronounced in greater Minnesota (down 24 percent) than in the seven - county metro (down 19 percent).
