The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Commission reviewed the plans for the S&C Bank. The Commission was concerned about the amount of parking available. They believed that there would be some traffic flow issues. One example is that traffic from the gas station's car wash sends vehicles towards the bank. The Commission was curious if the developer has been in contact with the gas station. The Commission was Page 2 PSHWC Meeting February 20, 2007 also concerned that the developer is trying to get too much into one area. They commented that they believe the meat shop is too close to the gas station and the bank is going to add to the congestion. They were aiso concerned about back-up of traffic attempting to use the drive thru. They appreciated the volume numbers that were provided but wanted to make sure that traffic does not back up onto Jorgensen Lane. One ot the Commission Members was also concerned about the handicap parking spot. She beiieved the loading area was on the wrong side of the vehicle. She believed that handicap accessible vehicles used the passenger side of the vehicle.
