COUNCIL ACTION REQUEST
Adopt a resolution and pass a motion to accept the donation of $4,842.51 from the Cottage
Grove Crime Board to the Public Safety Department, Police Division K9 Program for the
purchase of a squad computer and dock system.

RESOLUTION NO. 11- [Resolution Number]
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION OF MONEY TO THE COTTAGE
GROVE POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM THE COTTAGE GROVE CRIME
PREVENTION BOARD
WHEREAS, in support of the Cottage Grove Police Department, K9
Division, the Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board wishes to donate a check in
the amount of $4,842.51 for the purpose of purchasing one (1) squad computer and
dock system, and
WHEREAS, the Cottage Grove Crime Prevention board has been actively
involved in fund raising in support of our K9 Program and the ongoing significant
costs associated with this program, and
WHEREAS, the City of Cottage Grove, on behalf of the Police Department,
accepts the donated money and recommends that it be used for the purchase of
one (1) squad computer and dock system, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, that said Council
hereby accept, on behalf of the Police Department, the donation in the amount of
$4,842.51 and authorize the purchase of one (1) squad computer and dock system.
