RE: Planning Commission Appointments
The Planning Commission currently has two vacancies: one that expires on February 29,
2012, and the other on February 28, 2013. Councilmember Dave Thiede and Acting Planning
Commission Chair Steven Messick were involved in the interview process. They interviewed
four candidates for the two vacancies.
They are recommending that Lise Rediske and Chris Reese be appointed to the Planning
Commission to fill Commissioners Tracy Poncin and Brian Treber's unexpired terms.
They were very impressed with Lise's research and preparation for the interview and feel she
will perform well on the Commission using her preparation and detailed reviewing capabilities.
She has taken leadership roles in other volunteering activities, and they believe that translates
well to serving on the Planning Commission.
Chris Reese has an extensive background on commissions and volunteering to help the City.
He was most recently on the Economic Development Authority (EDA); due to the timing of
those meetings, he was not able to give 100 percent to that group. They are excited to have
him back on the Planning Commission — with the Council's approval of course.
Appoint Lise Rediske to fulfill an unexpired term on the Planning Commission ending
February 29, 2012.
Appoint Chris Reese to fulfill an unexpired term on the Planning Commission ending
February 28, 2013.
