Embracing new technology to recognize efficiencies in Public Works operations. Enhancing communication with the public. Continuing to explore sustainable measures in capital projects and maintenance operations. Improving the multi -modal systems and accessibility in the community. Transportation Goals Stable Pavement Management Program Federal Compliance with Retroreflectivity Continue to Build Partnerships for Funding Opportunities • Federal, State, County, Existing Businesses, and Economic Growth Opportunities ADA Transition Plan Ensuring our community is accessible for the aging and disabled. Implement a 5 -year maintenance program for cleaning and root removal on all sewer lines. Challenges Aging system Stormwater Goals Proactively implement improvements to the management, inspection and electronic data management for stormwater. Continue to partner with STS and AmeriCorps. Continue research on de -icing practices. Challenges Increased MS4 regulation (unfunded mandates) Aging system and no additional labor hours to devote to system. Water Goals Continue to supply high quality water and service to residents and businesses. Implement meter replacement program. Street Lights Goals Implement a program to install more energy efficient luminaires in a cost effective manner. Improve efficiencies through installation of underground conduit. Aging infrastructure Fleet o Goals • Improved management of the city fleet. • Streamline work order tracking system. • Standardizing equipment purchasing. o Challenges Financing for software integration for work orders, deliveries, inventory management, coding invoices, and purchasing. Environmental Goals Improve environmental education to reduce solid waste. Z4-1 Work collaboratively with the school district to improve recycling within the schools. Recycling in the parks. Continue to monitor permits within the city. Challenges Limited resources at city and school district level. To achieve next Step in Green Step Program — need commitment and resources.
