Taylor, Jr., Public Works Supervisor From: Mark Olson, Shop Foreman Date: April 13, 2012 Subject: 2012 Equipment Purchase Request Included in the 2012 Snow and Ice Division Budget is $17,000.00 allocated for the purchase of a utility vehicle w /attachments. There is also a carry forward of $38,392.99 from the 2011 Equipment/Vehicle Replacement Schedule which is the combination of surplus funds saved in the purchase of a new rotary mower and the sale of the used mower on eBay. Total of available funds is $55,392.99. Funds have been earmarked for a utility -type vehicle or skidsteer with attachments that can assist all Public Works Divisions in year -round maintenance activities. After evaluation of several types of utility vehicles and skidsteer -type loaders, it was agreed that a Bobcat All -Wheel Steer Loader would meet our present and future needs. The City is eligible to purchase this equipment through the 2012 Minnesota Material Management Division and Tri State Bobcat, Inc. in Burnsville, MN. The following quotation is attached: :.
