IN THE AMOUNT OF $111,578.95. WHEREAS, Plans and specifications were completed according to city standards. and WHEREAS, bids were requested to provide the necessary work, and WHEREAS, seven firms submitted bids; and WHEREAS, it appears that Minnesota Dirt Works, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer the contract be awarded to Minnesota Dirt Works, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, the bid for the Woodridge Park Pond Improvements be awarded to Minnesota Dirt Works, Inc. in the amount of $111,578.95. Transmitted herewith is a copy of the Bid Tabulation for your information and file. Copies will also be distributed to each Bidder once the Project has been awarded. There were a total of 7 Bids. The attached bid tabulation summarizes the results of the Bids received The low Bidder on the Project was Minnesota Dirt Works, Inc., based on the Total Base Bid ($93,941.40) with Alternate No. 1 ($17,637.55) for an Adjusted Total Base Bid Amount of $111,578.95. This compares to the Engineer's Estimate of $155,870. These Bids have been reviewed and found to be in order. If the City Council wishes to award the Project to the low Bidder, then Minnesota Dirt Works, Inc. should be awarded the Project based on the Total Base Bid with Alternate No. 1 for an Adjusted Total Base Bid Amount of $111,578.95.
