Schroeder, City Administrator Date: July 19, 2012 Subject: Approval of Wold Submitted PSCH Change Orders Dated 7/18/12 Enclosed please find a request for approval of PSCH Change Orders. To date PSCH change orders have been approved by Council as follows: 1. December 21, 2011: ($72,400) 2. February 1, 2012: $2,840.57 3. June 4, 2012: $2,214.25 This change order is submitted as a contract add in the total of $7,479.02 as follows: PR 11: Change in PS lobby counter: $1,047.76 This item is to change the ballistic glass frame at the Public Safety Lobby counter from hollow metal to aluminum PR 12: Switch flooring in fitness room: $1,180.72 The Public Safety Department coordinated a layout of the Fitness room resulting in the need to change the location and sizing of rubber flooring versus carpeted flooring resulting in increased square footage of the more costly rubber flooring PR 15: Increase hand hole size: Deleted PR 22: Electrical changes due to furniture layout: $4,375.77 Through final design for the furniture, fixtures, and equipment purchase it was requested that the inspections layout design change from cubes to a bullpen layout. This required a change in the previously installed electrical services for this portion of the building RFI 72: Lower rain leader in Council Chambers: $874.77 During a site inspection City field personnel directed a lowering of the rain leader from 12 feet so it would exit the building below the building signage and so that it will be just above the grade on the east side of the building and no longer conflicts with building signage. Upon adoption of this change order the new Contract Sum will be at $12,961,133.84 comparing to the original contract sum of $13,021,000. Council Action: By motion, approve the PSCH project change order as recommended by Wold on July 18, 2012
