COUNCIL ACTION REQUEST
City Council pass a motion to adopt a resolution accepting the donation of $100.00 from Alerus
Mortgage on behalf of Mat and Kaitlin Lewis to the Cottage Grove Department of Public
Safety, Police Division to be used as needed.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION OF MONEY FOR
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY POLICE DIVISION
TO BE USED AS NEEDED
WHEREAS, in support of the Cottage Grove Department of Public Safety,
Alerus Mortgage, formerly (RMG) Residential Mortgage Group Inc., on behalf of
Mat and Kaitlin Lewis, wishes to donate money in the amount of $100.00 to the
Department of Public Safety, Police Division to be used as needed, and
WHEREAS, Alerus Mortgage has a charitable donation program called
"Refer a friend. Build your community." Mat and Kaitlin Lewis have selected the
Police Department to be a beneficiary, and
WHEREAS, the City of Cottage Grove, on behalf of the Department of
Public Safety, Police Division accepts the donated money.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, that said Council
hereby accept, on behalf of the Department of Public Safety, Police Division the
donation in the amount of $100.00.
