St. Paul Park, Newport, and Denmark Township agreed to participate in street striping. The street striping program is a contracted service that Cottage Grove will be administering and coordinating. The City received a total of three quotes for street striping. The following summarizes the results of the quotes received: Contractor Low AAA Striping Service Co. #2 Traffic Marking Services Inc. #3 Safety Signs, Inc. IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,649.00 WHEREAS, the City of Cottage extended invitations to the Cities of St. Paul Park, Newport, and Denmark Township to participate in the joint purchase of street striping services; and WHEREAS, all three cities agreed to participate with Cottage Grove in the purchase of street striping services; and WHEREAS, quotes were requested to provide the necessary work; and WHEREAS, three firms submitted quotes; and WHEREAS, it appears that AAA Striping Service Co. provided the lowest accepted quote; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that the quote be awarded to AAA Striping Services, Inc. in the amount of $35,649.00. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, the 2013 Joint City Wide Street Striping Project be awarded to AAA Striping Service Co. in the amount of $35,649.00.
