RECOGNITION OF SERVICE — RESERVE OFFICER DAVE LARSON
Dave Larson began volunteering for the Cottage Grove Police Department in April of
1998. This was in the capacity of a Reserve Police Officer. Mr. Larson rose through
the ranks of the Reserve Officer program and eventually became a Captain in the
program. Dave remained active in this position until his recent resignation.
While in the Reserve Officer program, Dave could always be counted on to help
organize (from the police perspective) the many parades that made their way through
our city streets as well as the organization of the operational plans for the Holiday Train
event.
Even though Dave is leaving our Reserve Officer program, he has offered to look into
other volunteer opportunities at the Department of Public Safety to remain active in the
community serving in any capacity that he is needed.
On behalf of the City of Cottage Grove, the Cottage Grove Police Department and the
citizens of this community, we sincerely thank him for his 15 years of dedicated service.
