Transmitted herewith is a copy of the quotes for your information and file. The Project consists of improvements to five ponds: PART 1— Pond L-P1 (Jasmine Avenue/93rd Street) PART 2— Pond TG-P4 (Grange Boulevard/Hamlet Park) PART 3— Pond WD-P4.3 (North of Highland Hills Boulevard) PART 4— Pond WD-P19.1 (North end of Hinton Park Avenue) PART 5— Pond C-P7 (Isleton Avenue/Irvin Avenue) Requests for quotes were sent to five contractors (Ryan Contracting, Rumpca Excavating, Hydrocon Inc., Kusske Construction, and Nadeau Excavation). Recommendation It is recommended to award the project to the lowest accepted quote, supplied by Rumpca Excavating, Inc. at $62,580.00. RESOLUTION NO. 2013-XXX RESOLUTION AWARDING THE 2013 POND IMPROVEMENT AND SEDIMENT REMOVAL PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,580.00 WHEREAS, quotes were requested to provide the necessary work for the 2013 Pond Improvement and Sediment Removal Project; and WHEREAS, three firms submitted quotes; and WHEREAS, it appears that Rumpca Excavating, Inc. provided the lowest accepted quote; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that the quote be awarded to Rumpca Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $62,580.00. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, that the 2013 Pond Improvement and Sediment Removal Project be awarded to Rumpca Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $62,580.00.
