Levitt, P.E., City Engineer Date: April 25, 2013 Re: Municipal Consent for Resurfacing of County Road 19A from Miller Road to South End of Bridge #9071 Background/Discussion Washington County will be resurFacing County Road 19A from Miller Road to the south end of Bridge #9071. The bid date for the project is May 21, 2013. It is anticipated to be before the County Board for award on June 11, 2013. The County Road 19A project is being bid as a package of similar resurfacing projects on CSAH 13 and County Road 76. The contract is set up to complete one project before moving on to the next. The order of construction is as follows with the anticipated construction durations: • CSAH 13: �4-5 weeks of construction • CR 19A: �1 week of construction • CR 76: �4-5 weeks of construction Completion of the above three projects is anticipated in late August/early September. There is no cost participation from the City for this project; the project is fully funded by Washington County. Recommendation It is recommended the City Council adopt the attached resolution approving the Washington County Road 19A Project within the municipal corporate limits of Cottage Grove. RESOLUTION NO. 2013-XXX A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WASHINGTON COUNTY PROJECT WITHIN MUNICIPAL CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a Washington County Recommended Plan, dated April 21, 2013, for County Road 19A, County Project 13-31906, showing proposed pavement improvements for County Road 19A from Miller Road to the south end of Bridge #9071 within the limits of the City of Cottage Grove, has been prepared and presented to the City. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, supports the Washington County Construction Project 13-31906 on County Road 19A from Miller Road to the south end of Bridge #9071.
