RE: Environmental Displays
We have reached the 75% design level for the environmental displays: recycling, water conservation and
rain gardens. At this stage, we are requesting review and approval by you and the Environmental
Commission to continue on to 90% design and approval, following by full approval to proceed with the
production and printing of the banner stands.
Banner Design Background:
• Theme: Demonstrate how actions today impact tomorrow. The font treatment on the banner
reinforces the theme.
• Colors: Earth colors to be aligned with protecting our environment. Green: recycling; Blue:
Water; Terracotta: Earth /garden
• Images: The images selected reinforce the today and tomorrow theme by showing an action
today and the result of the action. The photos are blended together to show the interaction.
• Facts: The facts represent the specific topic highlighted in the headline and the photos.
• Call to Action: Meant to invoke a specific individual action.
• Separate and Together: The banners are shown together however they are also meant to stand
alone.
Review:
We ask that you and the Environmental Commission review these three banners and provide any
additional feedback and approval to move forward to final design. Below are items for the Commission to
consider in the review.
• Do the photos on each banner resonate with the theme and the message the Commission wishes to
convey?
• Do the facts convey the appropriate message related to the theme?
• Are the logos appropriate?
• Does the call to action align with the theme and the message?
Following the review and approval to proceed, SEH will prepare a final production schedule
with a defined delivery date, make the final copy and image changes, purchase and prepare the
imagery, and present the final banners for Jennifer Levitt for approval. Following approval, we
will proceed to production and delivery. We anticipate a May 1 delivery of the banners.
Thank you again for the opportunity!
