Public Hearings and Applications 6.1 Borner Lot Split — Case MS13 -019 David Borner has applied for a minor subdivision to subdivide a 41.68 acre parcel of land generally located north of 70th Street and northeast of Lamar Fields into two parcels of 5 acres and 36.68 acres; a conditional use permit for a density transfer; and variances to the minimum lot width, to allow the lot depth to be more than three times greater than the lot width, and to allow the road access to be 60 feet instead of the required 180 feet. 6.2 7310 Lamar Barn Event Venue -- Case CUP13 -020 Wayne and Angie Butt have applied for a Historic Places Conditional Use Permit to allow the barn located at 7310 Lamar Avenue South to be used as a wedding and event venue. 6.3 Poultry and Fowl Ordinance Amendment -- TA13 -023 The City of Cottage Grove has applied for Amendments to City Code Title 5, Animal Control Ordinance, and Title 11, Zoning Ordinance, relating to fowl, poultry, farm animal, and wild animal definitions, and to reduce the minimum lot size requirement in all zoning districts allowing poultry and fowl from five acres to three acres with the possibility of requiring performance standards. 7. Adjournment Continued to July 22, 2013 Planning Commission Meeting Ryland Homes — Case ZA13 -021 and PP13 -022 Ryland Homes has applied for a zoning amendment to change the zoning from AG -1 Agricultural Preservation, to R -3, Single Family Residential, with a Planned Development Overlay; and a preliminary plat for a residential subdivision to be located lying north of 70th Street, west of Jamaica Avenue, south of Military Road, and directly north of The Waters at Michael's Pointe Subdivision, which will consist of 133 lots for detached single- family homes on 69.3 acres of land. Public Improvements Surety Text Amendment — TA13 -016 The City of Cottage Grove has applied for a zoning text amendment to the City's Subdivision Ordinance to allow subdividers of property to construct the public improvements within their projects either privately or publicly, with publicly designed plans and specifications; and to change the amount of financial sureties that developers submit to the City for public improvements, site grading, erosion control, and landscaping to 125 percent of the construction cost.
