STAFF RECOMMENDATION Authorize issuance of the permit. During the required background investigation, no facts were found that would constitute a basis for denial of the application. The issuance of lawful gambling permits is subject to local approval by the City Council. :_ . :• ►�� Pursuant to City Ordinance, James Neuenfeldt, on behalf of the Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board, has submitted an application for a Temporary Single Occasion gambling permit, for the conduct of raffles to be held at the Almar Business district, located at the corner of County Road 19 and 70 Street. The raffle will be held on October 26, 2013. The Department of Public Safety is required to conduct a police investigation of the applicant. DISCUSSION We have investigated the applicant and have not found any facts which would constitute a basis for denial of this application, under the provisions of the City's Gambling Ordinance. RECOMMENDATION Recommend that the City Council approve the single occasion Gambling Permit application for the Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board. VC/� Craig Woolery Director of Public Safety
