RE: Appointment to Environmental Commission
Background
There are currently two vacant seats on the Environmental Commission. On Janu-
ary 3, 2014, Councilmember Derrick Lehrke and staff members Ryan BurFeind and
Emily Schmitz interviewed Brandon Smith for one of the vacant seats. Mr. Smith
has six years of work experience in environmental regulation and is a Registered
Engineer in Minnesota licensed in the environmental engineering field.
Recommendation
Council Liaison Derrick Lehrke recommends the appointment of Brandon Smith to
fulfill a vacant term on the Environmental Commission ending February 28, 2014.
He would be eligible to be reappointed to three two-year terms on the Environ-
mental Commission.
