STAFF RECOMMENDATION Waive the fee and authorize issuance of the permit. During the required background investigation, no facts were found that would constitute a basis for denial of the application. The issuance of lawful gambling permits is subject to local approval by the City Council. BACKGROUND Pursuant to City Ordinance, Rebecca Kropelnicki, on behalf of the South Washington Senior Center, located at 8400 East Pt. Douglas Road So., Cottage Grove, MN 55016, which is associated with the South Washington County School District 833, located at 7362 East Pt. Douglas Road South, Cottage Grove, MN 55016, has submitted an application for a Temporary Single Occasion gambling permit, for the conduct of raffles to be held at the District Program Center, located at 8400 East Pt. Douglas Road So. The raffle will be held on October 17, 2014. The Department of Public Safety is required to conduct a police investigation of the applicant. DISCUSSION We have investigated the applicant and have not found any facts which would constitute a basis for denial of this application, under the provisions of the City's Gambling Ordinance.
