MINUTES
March 13, 2001
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Economic Development
Authority was held at City Hall, 7516 80th Street South, Cottage Grove, Minnesota on the 13th
day of March, 2001.
CALL TO ORDER
Jim Wolcott called the meeting to order at 7:30 AM.
ROLL CALL
• Members Present: Glen Kleven, Fred Luden, Dick Pederson, Sandy Shiely,
Gerard Weingartner, and Jim Wolcott.
Members Absent: None
Others Present: Ryan Schroeder, Michelle Wolfe, Ron Hedberg, and Scott
Johnson.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
February 13, 2001 minutes were not submitted
Project Updates - Michelle Wolfe
Tradehome Shoes They have submitted documents for a development agreement with
the City of Cottage Grove.
Home Depot They are working on some site design issues. Ryan Schroeder discussed
the storm water drainage issues regarding the parking lot.
Office Max They are moving forward with their project plans.
Advance Corporation They are preparing for a closing date.
Tushie/Montgomery They are currently looking for venture capital.
• 5th Street Ventures They are progressing with their project.

Restaurant Inquiries-#9 and #10 They are currently looking for possible restaurant pad
sites.
Hotel-Restaurant They are progressing with their project.
EDA Vacancy
The EDA is currently recruiting a person to fill their vacancy. Recommendations will be
made to the board during the next meeting. Jim Wolcott, Council-member/EDA
President, will work with City Administrator Ryan Schroeder to interview candidates.
Redevelopment— Ryan and Michelle
They are currently meeting with developers and are looking into preliminary plans for
some redevelopment options in Cottage Grove.
Box Store •
Currently looking at a number of site plans in Cottage Grove.
Misc
Not doing the Chamber of Commerce ad campaign. Updating the e-mail list for EDA
members.

Motion was made to adjourn by Jim Wolcott and the motion was seconded.
