RE: Temporary Pay Increases
Background
As you know, Danette Parr has submitted her resignation as Economic Development Director.
Her last day with the City is Friday, July 17t". It is not anticipated that this position will be filled
until at least the new City Administrator begins employment. It is anticipated that s/he will
review the position when s/he starts and determine what the position may look like. Interim City
Administrator Craig Woolery and Community Development Director/City Engineer Jennifer
Levitt will be picking up a majority of the economic development projects and tasks in the
meantime. This would warrant a temporary pay increase for both of them. Currently, Interim
City Administrator Craig Woolery is receiving a 3% increase above his normal Public Safety
Director salary. This would add another 2% for a total of 5% above his Public Safety Director
salary. This would be effective Monday, July 13, 2015 and remain in effect until the new City
Administrator starts. Community Development Director/City Engineer Jennifer Levitt would
receive a 5% increase above her current Community Development Director/City Engineer
salary. This would be effective Monday, July 13, 2015 and remain in effect until the new City
Administrator starts and makes a recommendation regarding the position that is approved by
the City Council.
Action Requested
Consider approving a 2% pay increase for Interim City Administrator Craig Woolery and a 5%
pay increase for Community Development Director/City Engineer Jennifer Levitt for taking on
additional economic development duties. Both increases would take effect on Monday, July 13,
2015.
