The issuance of lawful gambling permits is subject to local approval by the City Council. BACKGROUND Pursuant to City Ordinance, Gabrielle Emily Meyertholen, on behalf of East Ridge Diamond Club, 2542 Grey Eagle Drive, Woodbury, MN y55129 has submitted an application for a Temporary Single Occasion gambling permit, for the conduct of raffles and bingo to be held at River Oaks Municipal Golf Course, located at 11099 Highway 61, Cottage Grove, MN 55016, on Saturday, October 24, 2015. The Department of Public Safety is required to conduct a police investigation of the applicants. DISCUSSION The application as submitted is complete, in compliance with our ordinance and is exempt from the licensing requirements of the Minnesota Charitable Gambling Control Board. We have investigated the applicants and have not found any facts that would constitute a basis for denial of this application, under the provisions of the City's Gambling Ordinance. RECOMMENDATION Recommend that the City Council approve the single occasion Gambling Permit application for East Ridge Diamond Club. /��-.— � Pete Koerne Deputy Director of Public Safety
