The City received grant funding for three projects in the City; the Renewal by Andersen regional pond expansion, 7210 and 7300 East Point Douglas Road site stormwater improvements (Hy-Vee and Home Depot Site), and the 2015 Stormwater Pond Improvements. Due to changes in the project scope related to the Renewal by Andersen project, the regional pond expansion was not completed as part of their construction project. As a result of this change, the SW1ND has proposed reallocation of the $200,000 in funding from the Renewal by Andersen project to the Hy-Vee and Home Depot site stormwater improvements. This will bring the total 2015 CCIP grant funding for this project to $400,000. The proposed improvements will involve the removal of the existing stormwater pond along East Point Douglas Road and replacement with an underground filtration system, which will be constructed underneath the Hy-Vee parking lot. Due to the size of this project, at the time of initial application the City proposed funding over multiple years, with an additional $200,000 in the 2016 CCIP. This would bring the total funding to $600,000 for the project. Recommendation Accept the reallocation of the $200,000 in SWIND CCIP grant funding from the Renewal by Andersen project to the Hy-Vee/Home Depot site stormwater improvements.
