The issuance of lawful gambling permits is subject to local approval through a resolution adopted by the City Council. BACKGROUND Pursuant to City Ordinance, Lori Ann Olsen, on behalf of Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest, PO Box 512, Cottage Grove, MN has submitted an application for a Temporary Single Occasion gambling permit, for the conduct of a raffle, to be held at Park High School, 8040 80th Street South, Cottage Grove, Minnesota 55016, on June 20, 2016. The Department of Public Safety is required to conduct a police investigation of the applicants. DISCUSSION The application as submitted is complete, in compliance with our ordinance and is exempt from the licensing requirements of the Minnesota Charitable Gambling Control Board. We have investigated the applicants and have not found any facts which would constitute a basis for denial of this application, under the provisions of the City's Gambling Ordinance.
