It was noticed after the 2016 fees were approved that the indoor turF rental rates were not included in the fee table. Ice Arena Manager, Jordan Hirman, and the Parks and Recreation Director, Zac Dockter, are recommending that the turF rental be priced at prime and non-prime hours. This is per their observations of turF rental bookings during the 2015 season. The increases are detailed in Attachment A. All ice arena fees including the proposed increases are listed in Attachment A under the Proposed Fee column. Action Requested Staff recommends that Council adopt the resolution and ordinance adopting the proposed fee increases for 2016. RESOLUTION NO. 16-xxx RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the City of Cottage Grove has adopted Ordinance No. xxx establishing fees for the City, WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.191, Subdivision 4 allows publication of the title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinance, WHEREAS, the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, that the City Clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. xxx to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The City Council of the City of Cottage Grove has adopted Ordinance No. xxx, amending the fees for the ice arena. XXX AN ORDINANCE AMENDING FEES EFFECTIVE March 9, 2016. The City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, Washington County, Minnesota, hereby ordains: BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, County of Washington, State of Minnesota, shall establish the fees in Attachment "A" effective March 9, 2016. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, this ordinance will not be codified in the City Code but will be maintained in the office of the City Clerk. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on after its passage and publication according to law.
