The issuance of lawful gambling I permits is subject to local approval by the City Council. ' BACKGROUND Pursuant to City Ordinance, Cynthia Lynn Bachrodt, on behalf of the Cottage Grove Lions , Club, PO Box 2, Cottage Grove, MN 55016, has submitted an application for a Temporary i Single Occasion gambling permit, for the conduct of raffles to be held at Carbone's Pizzeria, located at 7155 Jorgensen Lane South, Cottage Grove, Minnesota 55016 on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 at 7:00 pm. The Department of Public Safety is required to conduct a ; police investigation of the applicants. ; I DISCUSSION � The application as submitted is complete, in compliance with our ordinance and is exempt i from the licensing requirements of the Minnesota Charitable Gambling Control Board. We have investigated the applicants and have not found any facts that would constitute a basis i for denial of this application, under the provisions of the City's Gambling Ordinance. ' RECOMMENDATION ; Recommend that the City Council approve the single occasion Gambling Permit application � for the Cottage Grove Lions Club.
