HomeMy WebLinkAbout07B HERO Center Business and Operational PlanCITY OF COTTAGE GROVE, MINNESOTA CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 2019-058 RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE HERO CENTER BUSINESS AND OPERATIONS PLAN 2019-2020, WITH AUTHORIZATION FOR HIRING OF HERO CENTER STAFF WHEREAS, the City of Woodbury and City of Cottage Grove adopted a Joint Powers Agreement in 2018 for the East Metro Public Safety Training Facility (now known as the HERO Center); and WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement charged the Facility Operations Committee with developing a Facility Operations Plan that must be adopted by each City Council and recommending an administrator or manager of the HERO Center; and WHEREAS, the Facility Operations Committee presented a HERO Center Business and Operation Plan 2019-2020 (also known as the Facility Operations Plan) to the City of Woodbury City Council and City of Cottage Grove City Council at a joint public City Council workshop on April 30, 2019; and WHEREAS, the Facility Operations Committee has recommended the hiring of HERO Center staff for operations and preparation for opening of the facility in later 2019. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, 1. That the HERO Center Business and Operational Plan 2019-2020 is hereby approved and adopted. 2. The City Council Authorizes the Facility Operations Committee to proceed with hiring of HERO Center operations staff.
