RE: Historic Preservation Month
Introduction
May is the month that is reserved annually for celebrating historic preservation. The
attached proclamation is the updated version for 2020 as the City begins the
celebration of Historic Preservation Month. The ACHP is requested to review the
proclamation and offer any updates or suggestions.
In 2019, the ACHP coordinated the display of the outhouse archeological artifacts
that were shared by the 2019 Historic Preservationists of the Year. As a component
of this year's celebration month, the ACHP is requested to suggest possible displays
or events that could be planned for and conducted during the month of May.
Recommendation
Review, discuss, and suggest displays and events for 2020 Historic Preservation
Month.
