DARTS 2021
Aging is living.
Together, we
work toward
tomorrow.
Our words and actions paint the portrait of our lives, drawing the
lines on our faces.
Smile lines crinkle staff members’ eyes, and the compassionate way
they work is reflected in client survey results that say 98 percent
feel staff are helpful. Their true impact is that 90 percent feel less
isolated because of DARTS.
Brows furrow in concentration as staff and volunteers help riders on the buses, ensuring
everyone is seated, masked, and has met their seatmate. Through their efforts, 100 percent of
all riders feel safe, and 97 percent report making a new acquaintance on their ride.
“I could see in your eyes that you understood,” a caregiver support group participant
commented. While masks hide faces, they do not hide the empathy the Social Services team
feels when they provide resources and connections.
As we begin to unmask, we see laugh lines from the joy of being together, the optimism for
the future, and the celebration of aging.
Aging is living. You are the connection that enriches aging. Your support helps provide
equitable solutions that reflect diverse community needs. DARTS programming in the
southeast metro meets emerging needs and provides a fulfilling aging journey.
Thank you for aging with us.
A message from Ann Bailey
President’s Note
Special thanks to DARTS Homemaker Lili Jiang for drawing the faces of DARTS.
2021 Business of the Year
DARTS was named the River Heights
Chamber of Commerce 2021 Business of the Year, recognizing how we adapted our services to meet the changing needs
of 2020 and beyond.
