• This is a great improvement! This park is very loved and used by the neighborhood families and visitors!
• Prefer no fully enclosed spaces like playhouse & tunnel. Prefer as many swing as possible. Shade is helpful.
• I go the park with my daycare kids all summer and fall. I would like to see a sand box stay. I like the little kid areas of
design 1 a but like the bigger kid areas of 2 design better
• Neutral colors please, such as at the Cottage Grove Ravine playground!
• Shade covers would be so beneficial regardless the design. It's hard for us to take kids over there past 10am because
there are barely any trees or shade.
• You guys should make 2 full basketball courts and put lights there so kids can play there at night.
• Thank you for upgrading our neighborhood park!
• Repair and increase size of basketball court
• Monkey bars are highly requested by our kids and all of their friends!
• Fun paintings that are interactive on the ground: map of the United States, interactive playground markings -hop scotch,
obstacle, etc...
• Gaga pit. There are so many babies/ elementary aged kids in neighborhood where it could be used for a long time.
• This playground has children of all ages. The basketball court could use a little work too. Thank you for the good work.

• More ninja warrior type apparatuses would be fun
• The park needs more shaded areas.
• Keep basketball court! Full court if possible!
• Will there be any improvements to basketball area and ball field (dugouts)
• I prefer Option 2 in general, but really like the little house on the small kids' playground on Option 1. Could they be
combined?
• Please make sure the playground has shade. Equipment can get really hot in the summer.
• Liked design 3 best but would be nice to have monkey bars or something similar as well. Thanks!
• Please keep the basketball court! Many kids around the community love using it.
• Would love to see handicap accessible - similar to Woodridge playground as the ground material.
• Option 3 would be great with a couple more swings!
• The ropes included in design 1 will help it appeal to a wider variety of ages.
• My kids would like more than 2 swings
• Apparatus that allows small kids to ascend, but then find challenging to descend are not favorable to me.

• Please include things for bigger kids too! Playground is more for small kids now and there are quite a few bigger kids 6-
10 in the area that things are too small for
• Please no wood chips!!!
• Would love to see a zip line
• A taller and longer corkscrew type slide. We had a lot of fun with one many years ago
• Please think when placing swings in the park. That the child in not looking into the sun (do not place them looking
south. Parent or child are blinded by the sun even with trees covered play grounds. Just something to think about!
• I walk my daycare kids to this park and Ideal Park would love to see at least a bathroom of some sort does not have to
be fancy
• More areas for special needs children
• I believe Design 2 offers the greatest variety of physical development for both younger and older kids with plenty of
climbing and balance activities as well as enough swings. The other designs do not provide sufficient swings. However,
developmentally, it would be beneficial to have a spinning activity available such as is proposed in Ideal Park Design 2.
A seated merry-go-round would be a great addition to complete the design. Design 3 substitutes fake tree decor instead
of actual activity.
• Thank you redoing this park. Our family is very grateful. You guys do a great job
• Bounce turf. Fix the Basketball court. More benches for parents. Dog trail refurbished.
• 1 feel Design 2 provides the greatest variety for all ages... Both large and small slides, variety of balance and climbing
activities, as well as more swings. Designs three and four do not have sufficient swings and seem to just be more fancy
fake " tree things" that don't really benefit development.

• Park 4 feels the safest and most inclusive of varying ages, which I feel is important. Parts of the other options
feel less safe. The other bummer is that only some options appear to include something for kids in a
wheelchair. There is a child with special needs in this neighborhood so something to keep in mind. A small ice
rink might be nice to look at as an option in the future for ideal park or a shelter for the winter as it is a great
sledding park. Thank you for asking residents about this. I know all of what I mentioned is not possible. I'm just
throwing thoughts out there. Your outreach is greatly appreciated!
• We spend lots of time at Ideal and all these options look great! Option 3 would be my least favorite, as it seems
like many other parks in the area, but the other options each have something unique to offer. Hopefully, the
sand box will remain, as that's always a favorite spot for kids in the neighborhood.
• 1 would say adding in more swings to the park would help improve the park just to allow more people to swing if
they want
• Could have more regular swings in each of the designs.

0 Again, just seeing a bathroom of some sort would be great with all my little daycare kids Thank you.
