It Scares me when one of the planning commission members asked the developer
do you need that high number of units to make it profitable. Developer answered
yes. What else would they say?
Attorney said the city must let the developer develop the property as per the
zoning. She didn't mention the city is the Regulating Governmental Unit. The City
controls the zoning.
Who is leading this development the City or the Developer.
I can't believe the City Council wants this high of density for individual residential
homes. 10 feet between homes leads to nothing but problems down the road.
Drainage, working on home, privacy, etc. You can't hardly work on your home
without trespassing on the neighbor's property. The 10 feet between homes really
becomes useless land.
As close as the proposed homes are shown you might as well get rid of the 10 feet
of useless space between them. If the city really wants this high of a population
density for this area I know they can do better. Townhomes, Condos, etc. You can
probably get the same population with a much better ending project. Population
could possibly end up being the same and leave more open useful space.
Other developments in the City have not been done like the proposed
development, so why here?
