RESO�UTION AWARDING BID FOR UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS FOR
THE RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN SITE
WHEREAS, the City Council on June 3, 1998 approved the construction plans and
specifications for utility improvements for the Renewal by Andersen site and set a bid date of
July 13, 1998, at 11:00 a.m. CST, City Hall, and
WHEREAS, an advertisement for bids for the improvement was published in the "South
Washington County Bulletin" and "Construction Bulletin," and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for utility improvements for the Renewai
by Andersen site, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and bids listed
in Exhibit "A" were received and compiled with the advertisement; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Barbarossa & Sons is the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that the contract be awarded to
Barbarossa & Sons.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Cottage Grove, County of
Washington, State of Minnesota, as follows:
The proper City Officiais are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract, as
provided by law, with Barbarossa & Sons for utility improvements for the Renewal by
Andersen site according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City
Council in the base bid amount of $479,093.05.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shail be retained until a contract has been signed.
