The proposal also includes funding up to $100,000 for any other access road improvements the City conducts between the site of the Treatment Piant and Trunk Highway 61. Following discussion, Council directed City Administrator Schroeder to draft a counter-proposal to the MCES, as foliows: ■ ideal Avenue should be a 30-foat paved travel surface, to include marking such as to provide for a laneway system in addition to the turn lanes at 100` and 110 Streets. • MCES should shoulder responsibility for all roadway needs between the plant and the state highway system. • The City of Cottage Grove shouid not be in a position of subsidizing infrastructure needs of this regional facility to the benefit of the larger metro system and to the detriment of the Iocal taxpayer. ■ MCES should contribute toward the partial construction of Jamaica Avenue.
