Stransky, City Clerk  T0: CHIEF KINSEY fROM: 6INA LAMERS DATE: 7-20-48 SUBJECT: 8807470JSTOP SIGN REQUEST - i'e: OP598-096 Officer Mc6uire has completed her assessment of the stop siqn request at 77th & Irvin. It is her findings that trafific volume does not appear to be excessive, nor does speed appear to be a factor. It is her opinion that this intersectio does not warrant the postirtg of a stop sign. It G  is noted that with the curve in the street at that location it may give v the appearance that vehicles are travetling at a higher speed. Her fur- ther assessments were that traffic did aporoach and slow as needed when P turning at this intersection. Additionally Offic=r Mc6uire condvcted a similar study at 75th & Irvirt, and finds that a stop sign would be tieneficial at ths location. The citizen had requested a 3-way sign, the suggestion is 'or a revTew of this area for appropriate signage. Issues noted are residntial area with numerous children on bikes/walking, busy intersection for vehicles. Both of these stdes are compieted and forwarded to you for your referertce and referral to the Pubtic Safety Cortanission. cc; cop/9$002> cop/4803 C   , ; ;
